Therapeutic indications

Zopiclone is recommended for the short-term treatment of insomnia. Generally, the treatment period shouldn’t be longer than 2-4 weeks. That is why Zopiclone is recommended for the short-term treatment of transient, situational and chronic insomnia characterized by difficulty in falling asleep, frequent nocturnal awakenings and early morning awakenings.

Contraindications

We recommend you to first consult your doctor in the following cases:

  • If you are allergic to Zopiclone or any other ingredients present in the tablets;
  • If you have depression or a personality disorder;
  • If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant;
  • If you are a nursing mother;
  • If you have a breathing disorder, such as asthma, sleep apnoea, or emphysema;
  • If you have a history of alcohol or substance abuse;
  • If you have impaired liver or kidney function due to a medical condition;
  • If you have Myasthenia Gravis (a disease characterized by muscle weakness);
  • If you are an elderly individual.

Side effects

Zopiclone can have side effects, some of which are more common and others are less common. Side effects of Zopiclone which may occur are:

  • Unsteadiness or clumsiness;
  • Confusion;
  • Daytime restlessness or anxiety;
  • The difficulty with coordination;
  • Mental or mood changes;
  • Dry mouth;
  • Changes in taste;
  • The feeling of tiredness;

Less common:

  • Aggressiveness;
  • Behavior changes;
  • Labored or difficult breathing;
  • Severe drowsiness;
  • Shortness of breath;
  • Skin rash;
  • Tightness in the chest;
  • Wheezing;
  • Anxiety;
  • Headaches;
  • Nausea;
  • Changes in libido.

Therapeutic indications
Xanax is recommended for the therapy of panic disorders associated with agoraphobia or without it. Xanax is used for the short-term treatment (up to 8 weeks) of severe acute anxiety – panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia, essential tremor, panic attacks, stress, and deterioration of sleep, somatic disorders, neurotic depression and other types of convulsive behaviors.

Contraindications
Avoid the use of Xanax in the following cases:

  • hypersensitivity to alprazolam and any other benzodiazepines;
  • the acute form of closed-angle glaucoma (however, patients with open-angle glaucoma can use the drug during the appropriate treatment course);
  • parallel usage of Ketoconazole or Itraconazole;
  • pregnancy and planning for pregnancy;
  • drinking alcohol.

Side effects

  • dry mouth or increased salivation;

  • muscle twitching, tremor and seizure (convulsions);
  • nervousness;
  • restlessness;

  • constipation;
  • diarrhea;
  • nausea and vomiting;
  • complete memory loss, (amnesia) and concentration problems;
  • pounding in the chest or rapid heartbeat;
  • blurred vision;

Therapeutic indications

Contraindications

  • pregnancy – should not be used in the 1 trimester of pregnancy, except in cases of extreme necessity;
  • drinking alcohol.

Side effects
